Counselling in New Zealand is a growing profession. It is a rewarding experience working with individual adolescents and adults, couples and families to change cognitions, behaviour and to assist them in healing their emotional, psychological and spiritual concerns.
Our tutors at the New Zealand Institute of Professional Counselling are qualified and experienced practitioners. All counselling tutors belong to a professional body and abide by the Code of Ethical Practice. Our practical applications are taught in small groups.
New Zealand Institute of Professional Counselling provides a variety of Diploma and Certificate courses. We have achieved outstanding success in placing our students in a variety of agencies to complete the Vocational Practice part of the Diploma of Professional Counselling. Because of this invaluable experience our students are often offered employment opportunities. Our graduates work in all sectors of the counselling industry and some go onto further specialist training.
