Diploma in Hotel Management (Level 5)
Our unique Diploma in Hotel Management is offered in cooperation with the Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality (CTH). The qualification is endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality, the world’s leading membership body for managers in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries.
A CTH hotel management qualification prepares you for an incredible variety of career in the £3 trillion global hospitality industry. CTH qualified personnel are well-placed to build exciting and rewarding careers, whether working with a major global chain, a specialist ‘boutique’ hotel or developing your own hospitality-based private business.
The diploma programme aims to provide students with a broad understanding of the operational aspects of the international hospitality industry, and a knowledge of the underlying principles involved. The training combines theory studies with practical workshops, guest lectures and field trips. Free weekly English classes are included as part of the diploma, enabling students to build on their industry-specific vocabulary. In order to further enhance your training, we can also assist you with finding a work placement in an international hotel or resort.
Upon completion of the diploma, students gain a New Zealand (NZQA) qualification, as well as a British qualification. This qualification is equivalent to the first year of a British Bachelor’s Degree, giving students the opportunity to continue with their studies for another year (Level 6) or 2 years (BA).
