Gateway

These courses are provided for High School groups only and are organised through the Gateway contact at your local High School.

This course is designed for Year 12 and 13 high school students to learn the basic techniques of espresso beverage preparation in anticipation of gaining work experience as a barista in cafes and restaurants.

Students will learn to master the production of the perfect ‘shot’ and to correctly texture dense, velvety milk for delicious flat whites, lattes, cappuccinos and mocha variations. The course also covers, in depth, espresso machine maintenance and cleaning.
