Culinary Arts

Our culinary qualifications are recognised by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).

Our programmes have been designed to give you a complete foundation in professional cookery, as well as food and beverage service. Students will gain all the skills required for cooking food dishes and working with the main ingredients in a commercial kitchen, using a range of preparation techniques, cooking methods and finishing techniques. We also provide further training in complex cookery skills to enable successful students to enter the industry above junior level.

They also include the globally recognised City & Guilds Qualifications.

In addition to the national certificates, all of our culinary programmes include City & Guilds qualifications which are well-respected and recognized in over 100 countries around the globe. Founded in 1878, the City & Guilds Group is the UK’s leading vocational awarding organisation, awarding 1.8 million certificates every year.
