Founded in 2001, The Culinary Institute of New Zealand specialises in professional chef and associated hospitality training. We are proud of our reputation as a ‘Centre of Excellence’, and our award-winning tutors are some of the best chefs in the industry. Our core philosophies are ‘modern food styles’ and training that simulates real kitchens.
Every year our students take away numerous awards from the New Zealand Culinary Fare competition. We also maintain a popular commercial in-house restaurant and have strong links with the region’s hospitality industry, giving students the opportunity to gain practical work experience and find out exactly how hot it is in the kitchen!
Our boutique school offers very personalised training in small classes. Based in Kerikeri in New Zealand’s stunning Bay of Islands, our school is surrounded by some of the most beautiful and historic places in the country.
