Homestay
Homestay gives you the opportunity to live with a host family in New Zealand.
Quantum can arrange homestay accommodation for students studying in Whangarei and Kerikeri. All homestay families and homes have been carefully selected and vetted for suitability by Quantum. You will have your own fully furnished room and will receive 3 meals per day. Internet, telephone and transportation costs are not included.
It is important to note that the homestay situation may be quite different from what you have experienced in your own home, so it pays to come with an open mind. Please apply for homestay upon application. We will endeavor to introduce you to a family who will meet your needs, such as vegetarian meals or similar. The weekly fee must be paid directly to the homestay from the student in advance. Once Quantum has introduced the student to the homestay, all dealings between the two parties are between themselves.
For students studying in Auckland, homestay is arranged through the professional homestay agency Host Families New Zealand. Quantum can put students in touch with the homestay agency directly in order for you to arrange the booking. Any homestay placement fees, airport pick-up and weekly fees are to be arranged between the student and the homestay agency.
The cost of homestay varies depending on the study location. An accommodation placement fee of NZ$200.00 applies.
