Miles started studying with Quantum Education Christchurch on a Level 4 computing course which he successfully completed. He then moved on to successfully complete both the CompTIA A+ and Net+ certifications with us. On completion of these Quantum Education qualifications, Miles was keen to get start working as soon as possible and was offered a piece of advice from his dedicated tutor which has seen him successfully prove his skills and value to an organisation and secure himself a full-time position. Just what was that advice?
When he finished his studies with us, his tutor suggested that he approached businesses and offer to do work experience. Miles did this and managed to get work experience at the IT Department of the renowned St George’s Hospital in Christchurch. After a few weeks of dedication to his work and proving that the skills he has recently learnt at Quantum Education were of value to the IT team, he was first offered a part-time position and later a full-time position in the IT department.
So what is Miles doing now?
Now, Miles is running part of the IT Department at St George’s Hospital and puts his success down to the studies he did at Quantum Education and the valuable advice he got from his tutor to pursue work experience. That advice and his motivation has got him where he is today.
