Mele Singh has proven that if you have a dream it can come true; with a little bit of perseverance, determination, and the right qualification. Mele, originally from Tonga, came to New Zealand in 1994. She is married and has two beautiful children. Mele has always had a passion for travel, and has dreamed of working for a world renowned airline like Air New Zealand for many years. In order to jump start her dream, Mele enrolled to study a Travel and Tourism Level 3 Certificate at Quantum Education Group. Mele successfully completed this, as well as her Virgin Atlantic/GTMC Fares and Ticketing 1 course.
In December 2010, Mele took a job with Air New Zealand as an aircraft cleaner with the focus of one day working with Air New Zealand in a front line position. Mele’s dedication to both her work and studies paid off when she was promoted to an Airline Assistance role at the Auckland Airport Domestic Terminal.
Mele has no doubt that this is just the beginning of her story and career with Air New Zealand, in fact she has already set herself new goals to continue achieving her dreams.
