Diploma in Advanced Tourism Management (Level 6)
Our unique Diploma in Advanced Tourism Management is offered in cooperation with the Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality (CTH). The qualification is endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality, the world’s leading membership body for managers in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries. This course is designed to follow on from the Diploma in Tourism Management.
The tourism sector is one of the world’s fastest growing industries – with new destinations, new resorts and new travel options. As ever greater numbers of people have the resources to travel whether for business or pleasure. The sector with continue to grow, offering a huge range of career opportunities worldwide. A CTH advanced tourism management qualification offers a perfect stepping-stone into this dynamic and exciting industry and a strong foundation for career success.
During your studies, you will gain an understanding of the managerial, decision making and leadership aspects of the international tourism industry. The Level 6 course is also designed to develop independent research and study skills which will be required when working at senior managerial level in the industry. The training combines theory studies with practical workshops, guest lectures and field trips. In order to further enhance your training, we can also assist you with finding a work placement in a travel agency or with a tourism operator.
Upon completion of the advanced diploma, students gain a New Zealand qualification, as well as a British qualification. This qualification is equivalent to the second year of a British Bachelor’s Degree, giving students the opportunity to apply for direct entry into the third year of the Bachelor’s Degree at a number of universities around the globe.
