Diploma of Professional Counselling (Level 6)
The Diploma of Professional Counselling provides students with the necessary skills to become an effective counsellor.
We have developed the programme in association with the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors (AIPC) to meet the specific needs of students wishing to pursue their personal and career interests in this rewarding profession.
The course is aimed at equipping students with excellent knowledge, skills and abilities at the vocational level to perform effectively in the role of Counsellor. Our specialised course material and extensive support services are designed to give you all of the expert support and advice you need to successfully complete your diploma. The easy to understand material has been specifically designed to enhance your learning and focuses directly on counselling.
The course features face to face counselling, supervision, personal counselling, practical components and workshops.
Our institute also provides you with the opportunity to further your professional development through studying one or more of our Advanced Study Majors (ASM). These ASMs allow you to gain advanced knowledge and skills in a specialised counselling area of your choice and can be studied by anyone in the counselling profession. We offer the following Advanced Study Majors:

- Career Guidance Counselling
- Contemporary Issues in Workplace Counselling
- Child Development and Effective Parenting
- Grief and Loss Counselling
- Relationship Counselling and Conflict Resolution

- 104 weeks full time (international students only)
- 156 weeks part time (available to domestic students only)

Entry Requirements
- Level of English equivalent to IELTS of 5.5 or higher
- Minimum age of 25, unless approved by the National Manager
- Police records for all countries lived in for more than 6 months within the last 5 years
